Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Meetwell collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Account: email address or phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time code. We never store a password.
• Profile: first name, age (we store a birth year and never show your birthdate), gender, who you want to meet, suburb, photos, prompts, interests and your answers to the values quiz.
• Activity: likes, passes, matches, messages, date plans and whether you confirmed a date happened. These power your Daily Drop and Spark Score.
• Verification: a short selfie check confirms you are a real person. The video is processed by our verification partner and deleted; we keep only the result (pass/fail and the date).
• Technical: device type, approximate location (suburb-level, from what you tell us or your browser with permission), and logs needed to keep the Service secure.

How we use it

To run Meetwell: show you compatible people, explain why, deliver messages, suggest date venues, send you the emails you asked for (sign-in codes, match and message notifications), and keep the community safe. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.

Who sees what

Other members see your first name, age, photos, prompts, interests, suburb and distance — never your email, phone number, exact location or birthdate. Your values-quiz answers are used for matching and shown only as a similarity reason (“You answered the values quiz alike”), not answer by answer. Messages are private to the two people in a match; our safety systems may scan them for scams and abuse.

Our service providers

We host data with Supabase (database and storage) and Cloudflare (application hosting), and send email through Resend. Data may be processed outside Australia by these providers under contracts that require them to protect it. We will name our identity-verification partner here when that integration goes live.

How long we keep it

While your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, photos and likes are deleted immediately; messages are removed from the other member's view within 30 days; minimal records needed for safety (such as reports made about you) and legal obligations may be retained for up to 12 months.

Your choices

• Edit or remove profile details and photos at any time.
• Pause your profile so you are not shown to anyone.
• Delete your account from your profile page.
• Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it: hello@meetwell.io.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos are stored privately and only served to members who are permitted to see your card, with short-lived links. Access to member data by our team is limited to what is needed for safety and support.
